The widest pedestrian street in Chengdu was opened during the National Day holiday. This street is located next to Wenshu Temple, which is only two minutes walk from our guesthouse and it is called Wenshufang Street. Its a leisure and cultural land local style street. All of the things on this street are copy of relic, creating an atmosphere which you couldnt help but think takes you back to several hundred years ago. You can enjoy some famous Sichuan snacks here, like Dandan noodles, Longs Chaoshou, and the world famous dish Mapo Toufu. Walking on the street, you can see people playing folk art, such as drawing pictures with heated sugar carving on rice, making toys by wet powder, and so forth. Of course, there are many stores on the street, selling all kinds of things, like tea, jade, traditional clothes, decorations, and a variety of souvenirs. It is worth to see it. |
