Sometimes the circumstances surrounding purchasing train tickets in China is very unclear (even to us) , and it can be very difficult to buy tickets for busy routes . This year , the Olympic Games will also complicate tourism in China. Especially during busy season (for example , during the Olympic G ames, summer season between July-Sep and National Day Holiday), there will be many problems getting train ticket s to Lhasa. This makes it difficult for us to offer consistant booking conditions. We will always try our best to get the tickets you require, but we cannot guarantee this , even if you have paid the deposit . We appreciate you r understanding of this situation.

Normally the ticket will be sold anywhere from 5 - 20 days in advance . You are much more likely to receive the ticket you want if you apply for it before the tickets are on sale.

To help ensure you receive a ticket, please give us as many details as possible about the journey you would like to make, such as: date of departure, berth/seat type, whether or not you require a return ticket, alternative departure dates if your first choice is not available, whether you are willing to fly if no train tickets can be purchase, etc. Please fill in the form as shown below:

What to do if train is not available on the 1st selling day	I need air ticket to Lhasa on 3rd or 4th Mar

	I won't go to Lhasa and canncel my booking

Even the flights will be very busy during the peak seasons. If you don't have enough time to wait, we recommend you arrange a flight as well as applying for the train ticket. Otherwise, you may have to wait several days to book the flight after you find out it was not possible to get the train ticket . However, if we can get the train ticket after issuing the air ticket, we have to cancel the air ticket and you will have to pay the cancellation fee.

I f we could not b uy the train ticket, and you have requested an air ticket as your second choice , then we will use your deposit to arrange the flight instead.

There might be someone who applied for ticket s on the same train before you , and if we don't have enough ticket s for e veryone , we will give tickets to the people who applied ealier.

For people who will take plave on the way back... Chengdu airport is in a basin area, Gongga airport in Lhasa is on a high plain; both areas are subject to poor weather conditions for flying, such as heavy fog, sandstorms, etc. It is possible your flight can be delayed or cancelled because of this, most often during April and May, and in winter. Please be careful when making plans to allow yourself enough time in Tibet should this happen.

For people who will take plave on the way back... Please confirm the details of your air ticket before taking the return flight in case of cancellation or change of flight .

Even after we have accepted your application to arrange your trip and confirmed the itinerary, it is still subject to change in the case of natural disaster, war, riot, cancellation caused by Transport Department or company, governmental order, or other factors that we were not able to predict. If we believe it is wise to do so, we may change your itinerary for reasons of safety or the smooth running of the arrangement .

In the case above, we will try to let you know about the change or cancellation before we make the arrangement but, in case of emergency, we will explain it after we have made the changes.

☆ Step1 ☆ Application	Please send an e-mail and let us know following matters.
	①	Customers name
	②	Date of Arrival in Chengdu
		If you would like to arrange for airport pick up, plase click here to check the infomation.
	③	If you would like to make the reservation at our hostel, please click here to check the information and tell us the room type and the date to stay, etc.
	④	Date to leave to Lhasa and type of the train ticket. Please follow the above "Booking Instruction Form" .
	⑤	Other ticket if needed (for example air ticket out of Lhasa )
☆Step2☆ Answering from us	Our staff reply and tell you about current situation. And please follow our staff advise and provide followings before the date which our staff mentioned in the e-mail, otherwise it won't be able to make the arrangement.
	①	Passport with your face-photo and name, also visa page
		Please scan and send it by e-mail. Fax is also acceptable but if it not clear enough then we might ask you to re-send it.
	②	Valid Chinese visa, if any (the rest of days should be more than 7 days).
		Beware: If you have an"L" visa(=travel visa), it's easy to deal with. But if you have the other type of visa, we need your relevant certificate. For example sutudent certificate if you have sutudent visa, employment certificate form your company if you have working visa. If you have "F" visa and nothing to cleafy the porpose of your stay in China, then very difficult to deal with.
	③	Transfer the deposit
		The amount refer to below, and please send Bank Transfer Receipt to make sure if your transfer has done correctly.
	④	Please click here to read the agreement for option-3. We will ask you to sign the agreement after you arrived our travel desk.
☆Step3☆ Comfirm booking	①	Once we have received all of the necessary documents and deposit before the appointed date, we wait for the release and try to get ticket. We will let you know the result, and if we could not get the ticket, we will make decision on behalf of you arroding to your "Booking Instruction Form" or discuss about the further arrangement. Your booking is only guaranteed after you receive our confirmation email.
	②	Your deposit of foreign currency will be exchanged to Chiese Yuan and the rate is based on the date we have received your deposit. When our staff let you know that the amount we have received from you, we will let you know both foreign and Chinese currency.
☆Step4☆ Settle Balance and get the ticket	Come to Sim's Cozy Travel Counter to get your ticket and settle the bill. Your foreign currency deposit will be exchanged to Chinese Yuan based on the day's exchanging rate, and please pay the balance. We can accept both major foreign currency or Chinese Yuan, but only cash money is acceptable. Please settle your bill with us before 21:00pm on the night before your departure.


The amount of the deposit requied
If you have not settled by 21:00 your booking will be cancelled, and you will forfeit your deposit. (If you will be arriving after 21:00pm please make prior arrangements with our travel agency staff.)

Cancellation policy
If you cancel due to personal reasons, we will deduct the cancellation fee from your deposit and refund the rest. The cancellation fee is based on the actual cost of arrange ment .
①	If you cancel the booking before we have issued the ticket and permit.
	Bank transfer fee which is subject to the relevant airline's rules and conditions and our service charge to transfer the money.
②	If your cancellation reaches us after we have issued the ticket and permit , we will charge you :
	a.	The refund fee for the train ticket, subject to the relevant railway station's rules and conditions .
	b.	The permit fee
	c.	Bank transfer fee which is subject to the relevant bank rules and conditions and our service charge to transfer the money.
③	If your c ancellation reaches us after we have issued the ticket, but haven't yet issued the permit , we will charge you :
	a.	The refund fee for the train ticket, subject to the relevant railway station's rules and conditions .
	b.	Bank transfer fee which is subject to the relevant bank rules and conditions and our service charge to transfer the money.
④	If your cancellation reaches us after we have issued the permit, but haven't yet issued the ticket , we will charge you :
	a.	The permit fee.
	b.	Bank transfer fee which is subject to the relevant bank rules and conditions and our service charge to transfer the money.
⑤	We have arranged everything , but you do not show up have not pa id the balace before 21:00 of the day before departure, we will charge you :
	a.	The full deposit, and we will cancel your ticket.
	b.	If you have paid the balance we will keep your ticket available, but won't refund any money.

Changing policy
①	If you wish to change dates/times because of p ersonal reasons , you will be responsible for any fees / charges incurred.
②	The Tibet Travel Permit can be changed to a later date at no charge, but only within 3 days of the original date . I t can only be cha n ge d one time . In any other situation, you have to apply for another permit .
③	The train ticket can be changed subject to railway station's rules and conditions.

Other Imformation

☆About Body Checking; When you buy train ticket, you will get a health report form, and you have to give it to train staff when you get on the train. On the form you have to fill your name, sex, age, address, about your family, working place and phone number. They will also measure your body temperature, and if you have more than 38 degree, they will suggest you not to take train.
