--Haizi Valley--
Haizi (alpine-lake) Valley is named after the numerous alpine lakes it contains, including flower alpine-lake, white alpine-lake, blue alpine-lake and yellow alpine-lake. One of the lakes, flower alpine, was formed by glacial seepage during the 4 th century. Visiting this valley is for people who have experience in mountaineering and exploration. The beautiful surrounding mountains are reflected in the lakes where the non-squama Yunguyu, the living fossil of this land, can still be found. It is interesting that the boulders scattered along the lakes look like swan eggs from a distance. Most of the lakes are 4200 meters above sea level, so only a few tourists have visited them. But the few who have say that their beauty is staggering. If you are a true lover of wilderness, Alpine-lake valley is definitely worth a visit.
--Climbing the Four Girls Mountain--
Siguniang mountain is a paradise for most mountain hikers and nature lovers . Don't worry even if you have little or no mountain climbing experence ? one of the mountains in the range, “Daguniang” , although 50 25 m in hei g ht, has few steep trails and is easy to climb. If you are an experienced climber , th e second and third mountains offer more challenging ascents that may interest you.
For climbing enthusiasts and beginners alike , the Four Girls Mountain scenic area offers many opportunities to reach new heights, and you will be well rewarded by the breathtaking views.
--Enjoying the flowers--
Mt. Siguniang is also famous for the abundance and variety of it's flowers. Especially during June-July (spring time in the mountain), flower lovers from many countries come to the area for this reason alone. The more time you spend here, the more you appreciate the diversity - different altitudes, different flowers; different seasons, different sights.
As a nature lover, the flower sanctuary of Mt Siguniang is one of the ‘must see' regions of Sichuan province. |

SUMMER-A welcome retreat from the summer heat,cool and comfortable ,the views are very attractive, It’s the best time to take horse trekking or hiking and prevent sunstroke.
AUTUMN- The tree leaves are turning red, the flowers are blooming, and the lakes and mountains are a beautiful color in the autumn sunshine.
WINTER-Flesh air ,blue sky, it’s good for relax and preserve your health.
SPRING- With the flowers in full bloom, and rich in color, and the mountains reflecting in the lakes, Spring is a very impressive time to visit The Mt.SiGuNiang.
The best time to visit The Mt.SiGuNiang is between July and October. At this time, Autumn is on its way, the tree leaves will be turning red, and the flowers very colorful. It is the most beautiful season in The Mt.SiGuNiang.
NOTE: As The Mt.SiGuNiang is situated between 3,000 and 3,500 meters above sea level, you need to take it easy at first to adjust to the altitude. |

◆INTRODUCTION◆
The four girls mountain (Siguniangshan) lies on the boundary between Xiaojin County and Wenchuan County of A ba tibet-qiang minority autonomous prefecture, which is reputed as the oriental Alps , and is famous for its grandness, straightness and forcefulness. There are abundant forests, thick green grass and clear flowing rivers. The mountain looks like South European scenery.
The fourth girl (the fourth peak), 6250m high, is the tallest of the four. The other 3 peaks are respectively 5025 m , 5276 m , and 5 355 m . They stand shoulder to shoulder, plunging their heads into the cloud with glaciers wrapping around their shoulders and green forests around their waists. The four girls mountain is beautiful, virgin and comely, so it is also called shushan huanghou, the queen of the mountains in Sichuan province.
The four girls mountain, which covers an area of 450 square kilometers, consists of the Mt. Siguniang , Shuangqiao Valley , Changping Valley and Hazi Valley has its own character, and is definitely worth a visit.
The Mt. Siguniang scenic area is a mystical and beautiful land. Ancient, simple, pure and original, the special sights of its three valleys attract you here to enjoy the spirit of nature.

◆SIGHTSEEING◆
--Shuang Qiao Valley--
Shuangqiao Valley is the most easily accessible valley with vistas of snowy peaks, pastures, grassland and forests. It is the most beautiful valley of Siguniangshan . With three sections covering an area of 216.6 square kilometers , t he whole valley is accessible by tour bus. It's the easiest and quickest way to see the valley primarily for convenient nature sightseeing.
In the middle section is the driven fish plank road built along a cliff and the Shaji woods. Shaji is a small golden fruit, which is called the king of vitamin C. In the last section are marvelous rock sculptures carved naturally by the wind. You can see wonderful shapes resembling an ape, a hunter or a hawk beak. There are more than ten snow-capped mountains above 4000meters, making the area a favourite with climbers.
--Changping Valley--
Changping (long-peace) Valley is long with gently sloping sides. In this valley, visitors enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking and camping. Long?peace Valley is the favorite valley for tourists because you can really get involved with nature. The old cypress path, the lama temple, the dry lakes and the waterfalls are peaceful and secluded. Hikers can easily reach withered-trees shoal via a plank road built into the cliff. But if you are yearning for the true beauty of long-peace valley, you must take a tour on horseback.
The valley floor is well protected by thick forest. Old cypresses, green pines, and firs blot out the sky and the sun. Beyond the forest, a sun-drenched alpine meadow lying at the foot of the mountain catches your eyes. When you reach the foot of siguniangshan, pitch your tent and enjoy mutton roasted on an open fire; you will taste the true flavour of the nature. How delicious! Exploring long-peace valley requires a whole day , and there are no restaurants, so you must bring your own food and supplies into the valley with you.
