Ma Po Do Fu
Ma po do fu was created by a woman whose husband called her “Cheng Sheng Fu”. In the past she had a restaurant in the countryside north of Chengdu . Mrs Cheng has some marks on her face, which is why she is known as “Mrs. Marked Cheng”. As this tofu dish was created by Mrs. Cheng, it is known as “Mrs. marked Chengs Tofu”, and her restaurants name was changed to “the restaurant of Mrs. marked Chengs Tofu” It is one of the most famous restaurants in Chengdu .
